Krefeld, 30.03.2026 - Nextnel GmbH today announces the acquisition of the „IO Hawk“ brand, marking another important milestone in the company's development. At the same time, the company is moving into new, spacious premises in Krefeld to facilitate further growth.

With the acquisition of IO Hawk, Nextnel GmbH is expanding its portfolio in the field of innovative mobility solutions and strengthening its position in the European market at the same time. The IO Hawk brand has stood for modern, electrically powered means of transportation for years and has established itself in the micromobility segment in particular. The brand stands for innovative products such as the world's first hoverboard, the first eKFV eScooter manufacturer with indicators, dual motors and much more.

The integration into Nextnel GmbH will enable existing products to be further developed in a targeted manner and new innovations to be driven forward.

The IO Hawk brand will remain independent and continue to be strategically expanded. Another important step is the move to the new company location in Krefeld. Particularly noteworthy is the attractive location directly opposite the Globus store, which ensures excellent visibility and accessibility. The immediate proximity to the A57 highway - only about three minutes away - provides optimal connections in all directions. Public transport connections are also excellent: The new location can be reached from Düsseldorf in around 15 minutes.

With the new location, Nextnel GmbH is creating the basis for further growth. In future, production processes, service areas and repair services will be bundled and expanded under one roof on an area of over 1,000 square meters. This also includes a spacious outdoor area, which will make test drives possible without any problems.
